Howdy! Tell us about yourself, and what do you do for a living?

Hey! Tamara Kroger here!  I'm Canadian and is currently based in China, where I work in the social media marketing business, as well as managing projects that require translation (Chinese-English, and vice versa) and interpretation services. Right now, I'm 100% freelance, aand working jobs between full-time triathlon training and racing. That's right, I'm also a professional athlete working with sponsor companies!

What are you working on right now? What’s the biggest problem you face?

Currently, I'm trying to build a solid base of marketing and translation projects. The biggest issue I typically face as a freelancer are encountering counter-parties that have issues honouring contracts and proper accountability.

We’re lucky to have you as a Claver User. Why made you decide to use Claver, and how has it helped you?

Claver has helped me whittle down the time it takes to form contract stipulations. I actually have a very tight schedule and cannot really afford to waste much time on writing an entire digital agreement from scratch! Additionally, the Reputation features Claver has built in serve as an extra layer of protection for me - no more getting into agreements with dubious counterparties which, again, saves me time in the long run.

What advice would you give someone who also wants to become a freelancer focusing on Sports Marketing?

If you are starting to freelance, I implore you to start slowly! Build up your base (and Reputation on Claver!) by taking smaller agreements and go from there. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Work hard and work smart, and the snowball effect will follow.

What’s next for you? Where can we follow your adventures?

Next up is the off season for racing, which means it's the "on season" for contracting. That means securing Sports Ambassador contracts for the 2021 race year, as well as working on projects of my own, especially in the area of translation, which is my true passion.
